The Peakalls

The Peakall Family can reliably trace their history to Hugh Peacall born c1735. His eighth child, James, born in August 1778, was the first to be registered with the current spelling of the name.

Although the family carry an oral history that they derived from 2 Huguenot brothers who emigrated from France to England, all known current members of the Peakall family can be traced as descendents of Hugh Peacall.

The following page provides basic details of the family. Most dates of people born after 1915 have been removed.
